So, big time hair loss has begun. Brushed my teeth this morning and found a bunch of her hair in the sink. Ugh. I know she’s upset. While I was shaving my cock today I wondered if she would lose her pubic hair too. Sure nough after I googled it. Looks like Dad won’t be the only one in the house clean between the legs. She’s seen me so she knows I am. I wonder if she’ll keep it that way after she finds out how much more comfortable it is? I love you girlie.

She could go for the cold cap option worn during IV's to try and keep hair on her head if she wanted.

A very tough Tuesday. She came home yesterday and after seeing her I had to exit the living room. I don’t think she saw my break down. Cried , pulled it together and helped her get into bed. It’s kickin her ass. Tuesday’s are her worse days I guess. Mondays she gets the “Red Devil” what ever that is. She was white as a ghost and bloated from the steroids, ate very little, just some chicken and rice soup for dinner. She has been diligent about her water consumption though. While she can’t remeber Monday, she does remeber telling my Mrs on the way home yesterday she’s quitting after this round is completed. She goes to St Louis in two weeks before round 3 starts for tests. She plans on telling her cancer oncologist then. Oh boy, cat fight a brewing. The problem started at the chemo center where the resident oncologist questioned her need for it. Ugh. Her scans are cancer free but those Rogue cells could still spread to her lungs. If so? More than likely “game over”. Cernovial Sarcoma comes back with a vengeance and usually in the lungs. A very poor survival rate. Part of me questions the need as well, and seeing her like this breaks my heart. This isn’t supposed to be happening, my God, WTF.

Stopping chemo is a big decision she needs to think very carefully about. How many cycles is she due to have and do they intend to give her more chemo after this round following a break?

She's obviously feeling pretty shitty right now, so it's not the best time to make important decisions.

I'm presuming she's having preventative chemo?

Yes. Very intense preventative! All the cancer patients we know never had a regiment like this.

Now she conspipated. Looking for her meds for that all over the house. This house is a mess. Probably 100 scripts all over the place. I’m so tired of it. If my marriage survives this. It will be a bigger miracle than the girlies recovery. Frack! My wife is a slob.

Thanks Kim, thanks Tam. I’m just very tired. Frankly, I’m an emotional mess.

While le in the shower this morning I tried to think back to a year when we weren’t dealing with surgery, illness, etc in our kids. Maybe there was one. The summer after my daughter’s recovery from knee surgery five years ago. Last time we were all on our boat together. They wake board and skied several times that summer together. I didn’t réalisé that summer would be the last time. Other than that, been 27 years of surgeries, tests, procedures, not just my girlie, my son too. Had him at Riley children’s hospital when he was 5 days old. I can’t remember how many surgical waiting rooms , so many hospitals, or surgiecenters we’ve been in. Maybe 100. I’m spent. I’m getting a little nutz dealing with the pain and worry. I think I’m starting to see things. IDK.

Hang in there. Be their rock....at least try to look it for them. Show them you love them by doing the right thing even when it is hard.

So the latest issue. Found out yesterday, when she stands her heart rat shoots up, like 40 beats a minute. One of the reasons she wants to quit, pounding in her chest, I understand. So. She had a follow up blood work today. She mentioned this issue. Oncologist there say, Oh, she’s just dehydrated. She never even stepped on a scale. If she had the idiot would see she hasn’t lost a pound. Frack!

Dehydration can cause an increase in the heart rate upon standing. It can also bring on contractions to pregnant women.

True but she’s neither. She’s been diligent about water consumption thru this whole ordeal. She hasn’t lost a pound. In fact, she’s had two dinner tonight, with another expected, and two yesterday evening. Making up for lost appetite during her chemo week I guess. Happened the first round too.

You would think. She has mitrovalve prolapse like her daddy and has woken up blind most of her life do to low blood volume. We found out about that just 2 years ago. Now taking meds to increase blood production. Yet no follow up Doppler cardiac echo gram ordered. WTF.
