  • My intestines have taken a beating, and recently I started taking pro-biotics. It was actually a recommendation from my wife (and it's working / it helps).

    • I'm in no real danger, but there's pain, and the tissues have clearly not healed. I'm going to take 7x more days off... I think trying to come back to hanging too soon cost me a bit of time. At the same time, I'm sure it helped cement previous gains.

      • 2 questions blink, why have you intestines taken a beating, and how long will it be till you enter the game again?

        • it seems my intestines are ok now. i'll just say this: i think the massive amount of fiber in my diet gave me a thorough cleansing!

I felt a slight amount of pain the other day. the injury is still preventing my progression, and i worry that i'm prolonging the injury by hanging (the injury is getting better, but it seems to be healing slower than it should). my only debate is whether i should keep hanging 1x set per day or completely stop. i'm favoring a complete stop for now to heal up faster (even though I understand I might lose progress that way).

          • Yesterday I took a day off. I'll do the same today too.

Long term I think this is the right decision (to make absolutely sure I'm fully healed).

            • I had another day off... (just 4x more days off before I finally return to hanging).

I'm grateful to see that my flaccid is still hanging at 4.25". This is monstrous compared to my previously puny 2" to 3" flaccid hang (3" is generous, it was more like 2.5" on average at best). Actually, pre-pe my flaccid was perpetually turtled. No amount of 'relaxation' or warming up would make any kind of difference either. By nature I'm an extreme grower. I always find it amusing when guys tell someone to 'relax' and that will fix their flaccid turtle issues. If a guy naturally turtles enough, the only way for the flaccid to come out is with an erection (or partial erection).

I will lose an entire month--my last 'good' hanging session was on sept 22nd. I wont be hanging again until Oct 15th. It's like taking a very unnecessary decon break. I'm still debating the number of sets to start with. I am thinking I'll drop all the way back to 4x sets per day (that's the amount a new hanger can start with if they have previous PE experience). I can't see how that will be a problem whatsoever with low weight...

              • Hey man, I can see it's quite tough to get unwanted break from PE. But it's best to take your time and fully recover. The good thing is you can use this time to do other things PE related or not. Make sure you start very lightly when you start and work up very slowly (you know this already, but it's good to hear it again, at least for me it would be).
                Good luck!

                • Hey Blink2000,

I read your article on the main page, it was great.
What do you think about manual stretching, Im doing it but i never 'feel' im getting anywhere with it (although im still sticking with it), i know most of your gains come from hanging, did you have trouble gaining with manual streches?
                  4th June 2010:
                  BPFSL- 5.5"
                  NBPEL- 5.0"
                  EG- 4.0"

                  Goal:
                  BPEL: 7.0"
                  EG: 4.5/5.0"

Got some damn work to do...

                  • I gained .31" BPEL and .125" MSEG with manual stretching and jelqing when I first started PE in 2008. I gained a bit more with hanging for a total of +.75" BPEL back in 2008. I was forced to stop hanging due to injury (seems like I'm always injured!). Anyway...

I do hanging based more on personal preference more than anything else. I probably could have made good manual gains. At the same time though, I worried I was pushing myself too hard with manual stretching, so for me, knowing the amount of weight I was using felt safer (i.e. hanging).

Man, while I'm still a beginner I am afraid of using weights. Once I get to a point where my penis is healther and we think we can take some hanging, then that's cool!
It's true what you say about knowing the amount of weight you're using. I've pressed my fist onto one of those bathroom scales and the pressure I exerted was like 8 or 9 lbs, so I can't really imagine how much weight I'm using while stretching, but it could very well be a lot.

Good luck healing your penis blink! But remember, stay safe - there's no need to be a hanging martyr!
                      OK, Bye

                          • It was mostly due to non-PE related stuff... So there's not much I can say

                              • I haven't changed it lately, but I do from time to time. I've done my best to consolidate and organize a lot of the key threads on this forum. Those threads probably answer 90% of the questions (at least) that new guys tend to ask. I'm glad you found it useful
