No mate it's not too easy, it's exactly as it should be!

I always found it harder with the extender pointed up, it annoyed me and I found I was less flexible, but ultimately it's a personal choice. The other benefit of having it hanging down is that when you are sitting, you can kind of put the extender on your leg and raise the angle somewhat, which increases the stretch. You must structure it so that no matter what, your stretch is at it's maximum.

Don't worry too much about the gland getting cool, I've done all sorts of shut and never damaged it.

Lots of helicopter swirls between sets mate.

Whenever you feel the tension eases, crank the extender. Remember, tension is the key

      Thanks Rock.

I did 4 hours today and in the last half hour I was getting that burning / tearing sensation, but not badly. I need to ask you some questions but I want to work out what they all are first. So I'll keep going for a week or so and then ask.

I'll try to stick to 4 hours for a week maybe and then start upping it. The tension bit is what's got me confuzzled. But it's sounding like I just go as hard as I can stand it.

Gotta go ... more questions to follow!

No worries mate you can ask as many questions as you want.

Does your extender have the springs aswell?

With the tension, find your length on the extender that is challenging. When the extender is lifted to right angle to your body (if you are standing) then this is the maximum tension at that point. When you lift or drop the extender, then the tension reduces slightly.
So when your at your desk, lift the extender so it rests on your leg, that increases the tension and you will feel the difference

Yep, it does have springs ... so the cradle section can be 'compressed' back maybe half to three-quarters of an inch. I put Mr Happy through the base; grab him round the glans and compress the cradle / strap section - both with my left hand; strap him in with my right hand and let the cradle pull back.

Funnily enough though, I haven't had the opportunity to sit privately and study the extender. Maybe on the weekend. I'll also test your angle advice. I can't say I've noticed a difference but I'm putting it on pointing straight out and then wearing it mainly up, but occasionally down.

Should I be aiming for a TIGHT stretch; or long hours … or both?

          * * * * * * * * * *

I did 5 hours today. The first 3 or so hours I had the extender pointing straight up, while the remainder was down and to the left. I think both ways work pretty much the same in terms of stretch and discretion. Pointing up is probably a little easier to hide.

‘Break and shakes’ every hour or more, but there were no feelings of numbness or coldness at all. I gave the arms a few twists to put more pressure on at about the half way mark. I think I was holding a stretch equivalent to about a centimetre past NBPEL. Overall it’s still feeling comfortable, although there is a little bit of a relief when I take it off. Again, the very last 30 minutes or more had that slight burn, but nothing remotely unbearable.

My vague plan is to go up by 30 minutes each day ... so I’ll try to average that amount of increase with the goal of getting up to some big daily hours (say, 10??) within 2 or 3 weeks. Once I achieve that I’ll probably add some manual PE, post-extender work. That is, wear the extender during the day and the do the manual work to round the day out and perhaps restore circulation.

I did 5˝ hours today. I only intended doing 5 but circumstances at work (sort of) prevented me taking it off. For the whole session I had the extender down and to the left. ‘Breaks and shakes’ every hour or more and again there were no significant feelings of numbness or coldness at all. I gave the arms a few small twists again to extend it very slightly.

I need to observe more closely, but when I put the extender on I completely compress the springs, and while they pull back a little after I’m strapped in, they don’t do so completely meaning that there is a level of pressure or pull at all times. So I can’t really see that I can go much tighter even though there’s no real discomfort.

            Thursday 1 July
Interesting day. After the first hour or so I wound the extender out a shade further. I started to get a little discomfort around the scrotum and also from the base of the extender pressing into the pubic bone, but nothing unbearable at first. I realised that I need to do a check all around the base and pull some skin through so that I’m not getting a burn from skin being stretched as opposed to penis. But for the last hour I had to wind the extender slightly back ‘cos I was being distracted by the discomfort. I intended bumping this session up to 6 hours but in the end I did a little over 5˝ hours. I wore the extender down and to the left again today. I can’t say that I notice any real difference in the tension based on the direction I have it facing as the arms appear to travel through a consistent arc.

              Friday 2 July
I REALLY struggled today … but I managed to get 6 hours. I’m still getting used to the issues of skin pull / burn, most particularly on the scrotum. To relieve the burn I moved the extender from pointing down to pointing up which seemed to give some immediate relief. I try to take full breaks and shakes after an hour or more but today the burn was too much and I only lasted 30 to 45 minutes at a time. It’s not unbearable pain, but definitely uncomfortable. I got close to the 4 hour mark when I decided to wind the extender arms back a little, which still leaves me more than a centimetre (about half an inch) stretched past NBPEL. I took a 10 minute break at the 5 hour mark and then went on to 6 hours. I need to work out whether a break over the weekend is in order.

Is a 7 day extender routine optimal? Or should there be rest days? Particularly in the early stages.

I know that numbness, significant discolouration, and excessive coldness are clear warnings signs: but should I be trying to push past that burning / tingling sensation in the shaft? Am I impeding the mitosis fairies from doing their work or helping them?

Yeah stumpy that's what I was referring too re the discomfort. Your right about the scrotum pain, and I just pull more skin through, that tends to help. The head thing pain/numbness, you've really just got to use your intuition, but it is to be expected that there will usually be some level if discomfort. Now I don't even notice it. I'd only state the obvious, in that if it becomes quite painfully, remedy the situation. You'll really get to work it out for yourself though.

Stumpy I've found that when I'm taking regular breaks it seems to really help. I don't gain duringthr break, but I gain quickly when I start again. This is something that you'll just need to use your own intuition on aswell. Simply because everyone is different. Perhaps start with 3 days on 1 off OS something similar, with a week off every 4 or 6 weeks.

                    Saturday 3 July
I decided to put the extender on and see how I went. If it was too uncomfortable I'd have a rest day, if not, then I'd proceed. Well I got just over 8 hours with ease. I was going to keep going but I'm impatient and tend to over-do PE and so I figured I'd be sensible and I took it off.

I'm wearing loose track pants so maybe that helped ... a little less restriction? But if every day was like this I'd be doing 12 hour sessions!!

Home alone this evening so I decided to get some jelqs in. I did 2 sets of 50 wet jelqs and 50 As. I was going to do 3 sets but I could see a donut effect emerging ... it's been over a month since I've done any manual PE. Once again ... overdoing it!!

Hey stumpy, sorry mate I forget, does your extender have the screw mechanism that you wind to increase small amounts? Have you increased the length of the extension yet?

Yeah Rock, it does. And above those screw wheels there are three etched lines on each arm. So obviously I'm supposed to use those as a guide to create a level of tension and then wind it out to progressively increase the tension.

I have mucked around with that a little bit but I think in these first weeks I'll try and observe what is happening with everything including those marks, and once I have a better sense of it all I'll start increasing the pressure and time. Things like how far I pull the glans outwards to strap in can impact on those tension marks so I need to get my head round all that.

I was reading an extender article somewhere (?) and for the first weeks you were supposed to be stretched at less than erect length. Over a couple of months you extend past erect length. Well I've jumped straight to a cm or so past NBPEL!?! But I figure that anything less than erect length would be way too gentle??

I did an hour or so with the extender this morning but there was still some donut effect from last night so I rested. That all looks as though it has dissipated so I should be back on tomorrow.

                          Monday 5 July
I decided to do 6 hours today and no more. I did the 6 hours fairly comfortably and was so tempted to keep going … but I resisted. There was a little bit of burn near the top of the shaft in the last hour, but nothing uncomfortable.

I took the extender apart on the weekend to understand it a little better. It has 3 etched lines on each of the arms that come down from the spring mechanisms which, I assume, provides some (imprecise) measure of force. I measured the side of the arms and in its current setup they were 9.2 cm, which was compressed to 8.8 cm when I was strapped in at the end of my 6 hours. That brought the extender down to the first of the etched lines.

I’m going to use all the above numbers to try and work out a more methodical approach … or at the very least, track progress. I figure I should be increasing my hours to a workable maximum; progressively increasing the length of the arms; and, I assume, increasing the level of force as measured by those etched lines.

Note: When I took the extender apart on the weekend I realised that I have the smallest of the 4 extension bars in. Oh well, at least I have an extension bar in … and it means that I’ve got plenty of room to grow!!

                            Tuesday 6 July
I bumped it up to a little over 6˝ hours today. Despite the temptation, I made no adjustments to the extender itself. My feeling is that I’ll complete this week and then next week I'll see how I go with another 3mm (⅛ of an inch) ... like my mentor Rockoffox.

I did the time fairly comfortably again today, but the burn and breaks were a little more frequent in the last couple of hours and I was pleased to remove it. So I’m wondering if there is a bit of a cumulative effect or impact which indicates a need for rest days every so often? I’d been considering going 7 days straight with the extender but Sundays may need to be my day off.

Intuition … and some close monitoring are called for.

                              Wednesday 7 July
I was doing some extender reading last night and, despite yesterday’s assurances, I decided to start holding the extender at the second of the etched lines … or c. 600 grams? So at the 2 hour mark I cranked it out and it seemed to be going okay but I decided to stop at the 4˝ hour mark. A friend called me for a coffee and I didn’t want to risk sitting in a busy café with the extender on.

I did a couple more sessions in the evening which would have taken me over 7 hours in total for the day.

                              Thursday 8 July
I went just short of 4 hours today with the extender held at the 600g line but my breaks were becoming too frequent so I wound it back to somewhere between the 300g and 600g mark. I then continued to a bit over the 4˝ hour mark but I was getting too distracted by it and so I called it quits for the day. I’ll try do nothing at all until tomorrow and then set the pressure at or slightly above the 300g mark and try keeping it there for a few sessions.

Did 4˝ hours at approximately 450g and then loosened it off so that it sat around the 300g mark but I called it quits at the 5 hour mark.

I’m still wondering whether lower pressure for longer periods is better than high pressure for shorter periods? Duration … or pressure? Or, ideally, both?

                                Saturday 10 July
I powered through today. Is it the baggy track pants and the fact that I move around a bit more … perhaps aiding circulation? I tried using some fabric between the extender base and scrotum which seems to help reduce the burn I experience there. I’ll keep going with that in future sessions to see if it is helpful.

Throughout the session I kept winding the extender out, and a bit before the 5 hour mark I changed up to the next extension rods. I had a commitment that I knew was going to stop me at a bit over the 6 hour mark so I kept winding it out until then. Right at the end I had the extender at the 900g mark but that was getting too uncomfortable and I find it just pushes the extender base further into the fat pad.

                                All very interesting.

Came back and did another 4˝ hours in the evening with the longer rods. Achievable at home in track pants but I doubt it's possible under work trousers. I'll see.
