You’ll often be told that to identify the area you want to stretch that a front reverse kegel feels like you’re taking a piss and that a back reverse kegel is like farting or defecating.

NOTE: When people describe it in those terms there doing it so you get a general idea of what each one feels like and the muscles you should be targeting. When actually doing the exercises you shouldn't actually feel like you're about to pee, fart or defecate. If you do then you're pushing too hard.

So if trying push out a piss is strength 10 what should We reverse kegel at?
same question with normal kegels and stopping a piss

    Thanks

This is actually a question discussed by several of us that coach pre e. It appears that beginers should kegel/rk within their capability , strength has specific use after basic condition and skill has been achieved. At this point basic ability is being developed and strength is not the prime objective.

        Thanks peg.

I think I have never had much success with kegels cos I have a tendency to overdo it... Maybe not it the number throughout a day but the intensity...

        • Seems like I'm doing an ab workout trying to hold for 20s

          • Thank you all for this thread and the time spent helping us! Subscribed and rate 5. I have been able to get that stretching ballooning feel of a reverse kegel, though not consistent results. My abs really want to push down (which I'm trying to avoid). I'm trying to understand the force that can cause the stretching. The advice to belly breathing with the diaphgram has helped a lot.

I am curious as to what else is causing the stretch. Imac, you said, "stretch the pelvic floor muscles using just the pelvic floor muscles with the aid of the diaphragm" and avoiding tensing anything else. Speaking of the BC from the front, is there an opposing muscle, just as triceps and biceps are opposing? I'm having trouble focusing on an area that's used to apply that gentle force to stretch the BC muscles. If I try to push me pee out, I use my abs (which I'm trying to keep relaxed).

Many muscles are used to make the reverse kegel possible and effective.
I believe in working all muscles in that area as a compound exercise, making isolation work easier later with time. Don't be afraid to use some abs and to push hard. Just be careful. I am very good at rev kegels and this is the way I got good at them. You can get different opinions too, that's up to you.
And no, there is no opposing "reverse kegel" muscle. It's the combination off all sorts of muscles in that area creating a strong relaxation/stretch, over time with good strengh training.
              Started MAY 2011 BPEL 5 and a 1/2 inches. EG 5 and a 1/2 inches.
              Now MAY 2012 BPEL 6 and a 1/2 inches. EG 5 and a 1/2 inches.
I have cured myself of prem ejac, now I am working on a bigger shlong.

Btw... I'm not knocking other ways of thinking.... in fact, I do think isolation is important, but why not try a compound exercise way of training first before isolation work? You can always try the lighter isolation type exercises later after a while with the compound routine. That is how it's done in a real full body exercise gym.

                • Thanks, there are different viewpoints. (And I'm definitely not experienced enough to say which is better). From a workout point of view, compound exercises are the most bang for your buck when it comes to arms, legs, chest, etc.. but a rk is is a stretch after all, isn't it? So I don't know, but I would like to hear the other point of view as well.

Sqats are great full boy exercises, but I'd hate to try to keep a muscle stretched into looseness while trying one. The goal of squats, benches, deadlifts, etc... is to keep the whole body really tight. I'm not in good shape (and I did get a hernia few years ago), so I'll try the gentle route for now, but I'll keep what you say in mind and learn.

Yes, we all agree that the rev kegel is a stretch, but we all also agree that there is one or many muscles that is CAUSING that stretch because we can just stretch something inside our body WITHOUT a muscle. Wheather it's the diaphragm, the back/rear/asshole muscle, the lower abs and or something else or a combination of all of them, your best bet is to flex EVERYTHING at the beginning for like 3 months or so. After that ten isolation can be easier/focused.

                    • Thanks, I'll play around with everything then somewhat, but also try to see how I can have free flowing breath and without having all of my abs clenching tight. After all, too much clenching from too may muscles would trigger the sympathetic response, when the parasympathetic is part of the goal for the BC. (i.e. what normal stretching does to muscles).

I was unable to breath too when I started. I actually held my breath a lot, but after I strengthened all the surrounding muscles by doing long and short hard holds, especially my abs... it became easier. Look at them as stabelizer muscles. Without them, you are a mess.

                        • Hi everyone, I have an encouraging update for all the new people out there trying to find the front Reverse Kegel. After about seven days of gently pushing down there for 10~15 minutes per day (30 sec on/off holds) I have found it! So guys, read, re~read, and read again the threads here, stick with it, and you will find the reverse kegel. Btw it has not improved my sexual performance yet.... But it will in time. Stay the course ~ dont get discouraged. Many Thanks to JAMESMORRISON,PEGASUS, IMAC, and the other vets on here helping guide the way.
