    Ok so I have a few questions
    Do you think desensitizing sprays would help if used during the edging and ballooning sessions?
    Would it still train the brain in the same way it would if you didn't use the desensitizing spray?

    Sorry I have a lot of questions because all the different so called cures and remedies out there can contradict one another and I confuses me.

    A lot of the natural pills for P.E that you can find on the net are claiming that, the pills help your body produce more serotonin that you lack. this is a passage from Wikipedia: It is believed that the neurotransmitter serotonin (5HT) plays a central role in modulating ejaculation. Several animal studies have demonstrated its inhibitory effect on ejaculation. Therefore, it is perceived that low level of serotonin in the synaptic cleft in these specific areas in the brain could cause premature ejaculation. This theory is further supported by the proven effectiveness of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), which increase serotonin level in the synapse, in treating PE.

    So I was just wondering if/how edging, balloon, kegels and proper breathing can have an effect on your serotonin levels?

    • In some other topic I have made a suggestion (that isn't proved in anyway) that feeling of happynes and ejoyment raises the seritonin levels. Which makes sense since you wish to be feeling good more and more.

      So if you had a happy day at work, or if you are slightlly under the effect of alcohol (this depends on how you react on those substances, since maybe you have noticed that people tend to change for better or worse when they drink a little) your serotonin level will probably be higher.

      It is the anxiety and frustration that may be keeping those level low (hence the premature ejaculation reflex) since it is natural for the serotonin levels to rise during sex.

      Take note that all that i have said here in this post is nothing but a pure speculation (and maybe wishful thinking), since i now that when i am more happy that i have better orgasms and last longer but i can't make the connection to serotonin (maybe endorfin).

      That is why a good mindset is as important as anything in fighting the premature ejaculation.

      As for the using a desensitizing spray, genrally views on that are negative, but if you feel confident that it will help you use it and then after a month or two of using it create a topic and feedback us on your progress with it. Create a method or something where you will mix up your desensitizing spray edging sessions with your non-spray edging session etc.

      • I think there may well be something in serotonin bringing your arousal down. Though in more practical terms, you could call that happiness and comfort I guess. A lot of psychology is chemical after all.

        More esoterically maybe, if you feel comfortable with yourself and are happy with your situation, that really does seem to help. That may well be serotonin based, though there are other neurotransmitters and endorphines to consider. Norepinephrine, Acetylcholine etc

        As I kind of suggested up there, I think such things are probably best dealt with via diet, general health and psychology than by actively worrying about or tinkering with your brain chemistry

        • Yeah, I do agree that enjoying life more lifts serotonin and the other chemicals because when you are depressed you can be prescribed the anitdepressants /ssri's to boost the levels of serotonin and stuff to make you happier. I guess that's why, when I'm high or drunk I can last longer, because it makes me feel happier (increases serotonin and stuff) and care free (no anxiety). So maybe when we force the PC muscles to relax we are forcing our brain to create more serotonin that keeps our body in parasympathetic state?

              I think this idea has legs. I think both pathways directly affect your arousal, just from opposite sides.

              It might be interesting to consider precisely what arousal actually is? I don't know if it's a tangible thing, but I'm fairly certain that one's physical response is an expression of it rather than the deal itself.

              • Ok. Just back from the bathroom, lol. My first true attempt at Edging with Kegels. No formula, just wanted to give it a go. I've always been a 'rapid wanker', I guess mainly to avoid being caught. My main goal was to go as long as possible, aiming for 15mins. I tried several different motions, speeds, rhythms. When I felt myself getting close, maybe only a 6, I stopped, tried variations of Kegels and R-K's. Kegels only seemed to heighten sensations, but RK's actually settled the impulses. I dunno if I was doing them right, but I noticed my abdomen rising, also my dick, but not as much with a normal Keg. I would hold off and try to do repeated RK's until I could see my dicks firmness ease up. And then I would start again. Probably had to 'pause' and do RK's 4-5 times. Tried to do them while stroking but that was more difficult. Surprisingly, I got to 15mins. At that point I went for the finish line, but right on PONR I stopped and tried RK's... and it worked. RKd until the pressure backed off, then I went at it again, but unfortunately couldn't resist the urge to go full tilt and blow. But great to go 15mins.

                Now, I cant imagine being able to do this with sex. Its harder to back off, and I couldnt kneel there doing Ks in front of the poor girl. But hopefully K-ing whilst wanking will improve overall endurance. The problem with this it finding the time and place. I'm up at sparrow fart to get the little one off to school and in the evenings, after the gym, its dinner, some work, and if Im lucky some TV or a movie. I think its gonna be hard to disappear into the bathroom for half an hour every night, even if I have the energy. So today it was the office bathroom. This I can get away with most days as the other 2 staff members go out for lunch, I usually get something on the road later in the day. ...

                So am I on the right track? I'll stick with this for a week or two and try to go longer. But then what?

                PS, anyone have a good beginners K/RK regimen?

                • I suggest you have a a seperate kegel workout, this can be done on the road or similar.
                  Edging can be used for a number of goals ,what is yours?

                        You're totally doing the right thing. Don't expect to run before you can walk. My advice would be to take your time for now to learn about your body and your arousal, and how it works/feels etc on a more subtle level. You need to have some self awareness beyond just having a cock and it spurting when you play with it.

                        This sort of self awareness will set you up for life. What Pegasus says is absolutely right too, you will benefit from a solid routine, but don't rush into it and expect miracles. We're talking weeks, not months here, after all, you already made a huge difference on your first go, right? Just saying I would use your first few sessions just to play around and get to know yourself and what your muscles are doing, and how they respond.

                        Don't worry about that for now. You can kegel during sex easily enough while you're inside, but yeah, there's a lot more going on and it takes practice. One step at a time anyway. You're on the right road

                          • Well a progress thread is definitely a good thing to have. But I'd say get involved anyway, there's a good few of us here with some insight and success to cal on, and we're all learning as we go too so you can't really ask any stupid questions.

                            • I just had my third wank sess since starting this, and wow. I tried to hold RK's throughout. Previously I just stopped an RK'd each time I could feel a build up, yesterday probably 4-5 times in 15 mins. (Using the timer and lap function on the iphone, and pressing 'lap' each time I had to hold off. Well today I just held RK's for as much of it as possible, and no laps at all. I didn't even feel that much intensity buid up. Moderate pace throughout. At 16 mins I thought time to let go, and with that a standard Keget came on pretty strong, and although I wanted to try and hold off with another RK, time wouldn't allow it.

                              So, so far so good.
